Mother Earth

Mother Earth is a re-articulation of a deer and human. Her anatomy emphasizes life-giving divinity, contrasted by the vulnerability of exposed bones. Woven ligaments made of naturally dyed wool infuse the sculpture with science, land and femininity. This project is the result of dye knowledge and feminist insights from my creative research.
